Who does the work
Our installers do the estimates and installs. When you send photos or schedule an estimate, the request goes to them through Plenum, an estimating system. The photos on this site are from our installs.
Where the prices come from
Each range comes from our recent Denver-area estimates for that kind of install, before rebates. Half of those estimates fall inside the range. We leave out income-qualified jobs with very large rebates, and we only show a range when enough jobs stand behind it. A range is a guide; your quote comes from your house.
Rebates change, sometimes mid-year. Xcel Energy lowered its heat pump bonus for Xcel gas customers on October 1, 2026. Ask for the current amounts when you get your estimate.
The drawings and the math
The drawings show common setups, and your basement will differ. The sizing tool uses the altitude rule in the fuel gas code and most furnace manuals: above 2,000 feet, cut the input 4% for every 1,000 feet above sea level. That's about a fifth at Denver. Some modulating furnaces, such as Rheem's R97V and R98V, derate less, so the manual for your furnace sets the final number.
